Exhibitions

Our event usually plays host to a number of art exhibits – on the streets, and also in studios located in or around our event area. Stay tuned for news on this front – and, if you have an art studio or exhibition space in Obs and would like to have your space shown on the day, contact our team on info@streetopia.co.za

Road Closures

The 2023 event footprint will be the same as in 2019. This area extends from Norfolk Rd to the edge of St Michael’s Rd.
St Michael’s will not be closed to traffic to enable resident and visitor traffic to continue using Lower Main and Bishop Rd as usual. Station Road will not be closed to traffic.

ACCESS PERMITS FOR RESIDENTS
Residents along the affected section of Lower Main will be provided with Access Permits to ensure that they can access their properties between the hours of 8 am & 6 pm on the day. These will be sent via WhatsApp to all relevant addresses the week before the event date (i.e. 19 – 25 Nov). If you are not in a local WhatsApp group, please email info@streetopia.co.za to get your pass.

Please print and place these inside car windscreens so that event marshals and security personnel can easily see these and assist you with access. If, for some reason, residents in proximity of road closures require Access Permits on the day, Event marshals will be on hand at closure points to assist.
Also, for those residents who usually park on the street on the detour routes there is parking at Pepper Square available.
